The turbo optioned Regal was fitted with an 85 MPH dash – terrible choice for being

used on what was the fastest US-made production vehicle of its time back in 1987.

And, to remind you of excessive speed, an orange “55” to “slow you down”……! We

removed that on our new dash face. And since the car is almost 40 years old, it’s time

to bring it up to today’s standards.

The 1984 - 1987 turbo Regal with the standard 85 MPH dash very likely needs

attention. The most common failure is the Tach/Boost indicator. It is very common for

the display to go out of calibration, causing the LED indicators to show false data.

Fortunately, it can be repaired. Caspers has offered repair services on digital dash

clusters for many years, and now, we took it a step further to offer repair and

upgrades for your standard analog clusters as well.

1. Repair and calibration of the Tach/Boost display (replacement displays available)

2. A newly developed low-glare 145 MPH face, in-house calibrated and ready to

install*

3. New technology Flex-PC-Board fitted with the “Field-Fix” option

4. Repair of the Trip Odometer movement (frequent issues with this)

5. New lens to replace the OEM part

6. Optional “30 PSI” boost display (requires 3-BAR MAP sensor)

7. Repair and/or replace all telltale indicators

8. Various other fixes as needed

Send us your cluster and we’ll bring it back to life, and make it more functional than

the day it was delivered from the factory. You can choose several options and we’ll

turn it around within two business days, calibrated and ready to bolt right back into

your car.

*If you are running a stock computer, your transmission lockup will be delayed by

about 20% due to the recalibrated display. So, if it locks up at 40MPH in 4 th gear

normally, it will now lock up at around 48MPH. Not a real big deal, but your chip

supplier can perform a simple modification to lock the converter at the normal 40MPH

if you desire.

NOTE: It is imperative that your dash be properly packed to prevent damage

in shipping. Visit www.casperselectronics.com for more information.
